Bringing the Curriculum to Life at the Sydney Rudolf Steiner College's Autumn Teaching Training Intensives

Bringing the Curriculum to Life at the Sydney Rudolf Steiner College's Autumn Teaching Training Intensives

For educators seeking to enliven their classrooms and reinvigorate their teaching practice, the Autumn Seminar offered by the Sydney Rudolf Steiner College provides an opportunity for students to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and hands-on experiences.

Held twice a year on the Glenaeon Steiner School campus, in autumn and spring, the seminar welcomes students enrolled in Early Childhood, Primary, and High School courses, as well as casual enrolments from educators, aspiring teachers and interested parents. Parallel workshops and shared keynotes cater to the specific needs of each educational level, fostering a collaborative and enriching environment.

The autumn seminar featured a diverse range of modules covering topics like inner development, creative speech, art, movement, restorative practices, music, and handwork.

In the market area, Mercurius Australia, alongside the amazing book selection from the Rudolf Steiner Book Centre and Grassroots Steiner Supplies, give an insight into the resources and materials that enliven teaching practice and Steiner classroom environments. Attendees have the opportunity to browse, ponder and purchase books and get hands-on with Mercurius Australia's products and the selection from Grassroots. From art supplies and handwork materials to classroom essentials, Mercurius Australia's offerings are carefully curated to support the holistic and enriching experience of the Steiner curriculum and classroom.

Being part of a teacher’s journey, right from the beginning, is a highlight in our year, and we would like to share our gratitude to the Sydney Rudolf Steiner College for the opportunity to participate. On reflection, being immersed in events like this, help connect us with the importance and meaning behind our Mercurius Australia work. As well as bringing meaning for the students, participating also brings meaning to us. A heart-felt thank you to the Seminar!
