Erica Russell joins us this Christmas as a special guest contributor, sharing her lifelong connection to Steiner education and her passion for nurturing slow, imaginative childhoods. A former teacher turned homeschooling mum, Erica now inspires families through The Steiner Connection, where she celebrates creativity, rhythm and meaningful play. This festive season, she has created three simple, thoughtful Christmas craft activities to bring a touch of handmade warmth to your home or classroom.

As we move into Semester 2, our thoughts naturally turn to preparation for the year ahead. To make a real difference in your classrooms, our planning and advance negotiations have secured special pricing valid for all orders – both current and Back-to-School – placed between July 20th and September 30th, 2025. These offerings reflect our understanding that the beginning of the school year represents both an investment and a commitment – in our children, in our teachers, and in the transformative power of quality materials.
Earlier this month, Mercurius Australia proudly participated in the 2025 SEA National Teachers' Conference at Noosa Pengari Steiner School. As the event’s main sponsor, we connected with educators nationwide around the theme “I and Us: finding our purpose as individuals and communities.” Highlights included Bernd Ruf’s keynote on Emergency Pedagogy, exciting updates to our school supply offerings, and meaningful conversations about sustainable, developmentally aligned materials. Discover how these inspiring days are shaping our shared journey in education.
At the 2025 GLaM Conference held at Orana Steiner School in Canberra, Mercurius Australia proudly joined the national gathering of Steiner education leaders to focus on a vital topic: safety and compliance in art materials. Surrounded by nature and meaningful dialogue, the event offered a rich opportunity for Mercurius to engage directly with schools, share insights, and offer guidance on meeting regulatory standards while staying true to Steiner values.
Candles have long been more than just sources of light—they're decorative elements that add warmth, ambiance, and personality to any space. Decorating candles allows you to transform simple wax columns into personalised works of art that complement your home's aesthetic while connecting to rich traditions from both church and home settings.
As we complete the final school back orders this week, we reflect on another meaningful back-to-school season...
