Designed for students from Year 2 and up, these main lesson books support children who are still building writing confidence. They feature an alternating layout of blank pages for drawing and soft blue, 1.5cm ruled pages, with dotted midline, for writing. Once students no longer require the larger line format of Early Literacy Main Lesson Books, this version offers a practical upgrade—eliminating the need for hand-drawn lines or guides placed beneath the page.
Each book is spiral bound and includes 32 high-quality pages, beginning with a blank cover page. Made from 120 gsm paper, the pages are thick enough for crayon, coloured pencil, or ink, ensuring that writing and illustrations both look vibrant and clean. The lined pages provide space for a title and include a margin for a decorative border, making them ideal for creative and structured work alike.
The ruled pages are spaced at 1.5cm with a dotted midline. At 28 x 35.5 cm, these large portrait-sized books are available on all six of our popular covers.

What is Onion Skin?
Onion skin paper is an almost translucent paper that is crisp to the touch. Thin and lightweight, it is also strong and tough.
Our Lesson Books are available with or without Onion Skin page dividers. The Onion Skin page divider will protect your artwork and written work.
Did you know Onion Skin paper makes good tracing paper? And it can also be used for origami, folding or craft paper. If you have Onion Skin dividers in your lesson books that you don't need to protect your work - cut them out gently and reuse in your next art or craft project!
