As 2020 draws to an end, we look for ways to reflect on the past year. Resilience, flexibility and courage are all words that come to mind. But perhaps above all, what stands out is the heart felt warmth and kindness shown by many as they have reached out with understanding to meet those in need. Whether a friendly greeting with an elderly neighbour, a zoom family dinner, or the warmth of a teacher connecting with their class – in all these meetings, it is the striving for conscious connection that has bought warmth to the heart.
At Mercurius, we are very thankful to have been able to continue to operate in a flexible COVID-safe environment, to strengthen existing relationships and forge many new ones. It is encouraging to see the growing interest and commitment to quality, sustainable products, products that nurture and support the health of humanity, animal welfare and the care of the environment. Values we hold dear at Mercurius and share with our many partners both within Australia and around the world.
We thank you for your ongoing support and wish you all best wishes in the festive season and the year ahead.
With Warmth and Gratitude from the team at Mercurius
Our vision is to support healthy development for children and all ages through education, art and play. We partner with socially and environmentally conscious businesses to offer products of aesthetic beauty, outstanding craftsmanship, quality and durability.
Many of our products are made in Europe and manufactured from sustainably sourced indigenous wood - wood that can be seen growing naturally in European woodlands.
We select our products to be as close to nature as possible, while still retaining a consiousness around quality, usability and function.
The quality and agelessness of our products speak for themselves - much of our core range has remained unchanged for over 20 years.
Learning through conscious development and conscious products
In 2019, Waldorf and Steiner schools around the world recognized 100 years of Waldorf/Steiner Education. The global theme that was explored was ‘Learn to Change the World’ and we were witness to the many ways Steiner students around the world experienced their education to equip them with the skills, the strength and the capacity to Change the World.
In Australia, the SEA Conference extended on this global theme to reflect on the wisdom of Steiner’s indications and how they can offer a ‘Renewal for the 21st Century’.
Our current times are calling for us all to discover our inner strength, to face new challenges and find new ways of working together.
At Mercurius Australia we are consciously working to understand our part in the world, finding new ways to support the holistic development of the child, through education, art and play, both within our schools and within our homes.
